(WitWave) - In a heartbreaking incident in Katkoot village, Khargone district, Madhya Pradesh, a 22-year-old man, Indal Singh Jadhav Banjara, suffered a fatal heart attack while playing cricket. The young cricketer, representing the Barkhad Tanda village team, complained of uneasiness while bowling during a match on Saturday evening.
Banjara's discomfort escalated, and he reportedly complained of chest pain, prompting him to take a break under a tree. Despite efforts to rush him to the hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival at Badwah Civil Hospital.
Dr Vikas Talware of Badwah Civil Hospital confirmed that Banjara died of a heart attack, and his body was handed over to the family after post-mortem procedures.
Shaligram Gurjar, a villager, recounted the tragic sequence of events, stating that Banjara, after complaining of chest pain, requested fellow players to take him to a nearby hospital. Despite the prompt response and referral to Badwah Civil Hospital, Banjara tragically lost his life on the way.
The incident serves as a sombre reminder of the unpredictability of health issues and highlights the importance of recognizing and responding to symptoms promptly, even in seemingly fit and young individuals. The local cricket community mourns the untimely loss of a promising player, emphasizing the need for health awareness in sports.
